  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing -- PREFERRED

  • One (1) year acute care experiences

  • PREFERRED
  • Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer knowledge and skills

  • Multidisciplinary team and patient.

  • Computer application skills

  • ALLSCRIPTS, Microsoft Excel
  • The Staff Nurse in the Cardiac Pulmonary Care Unit 6B provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, and the institution's mission and goals.

Experience in Critical Care preferred
