Staff Nurse, RN (Patient Rooms/Pacu)(306) 3-10 Shifts, 9-7:30Pm, Varied Days Off

JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the organization. Manages patient care in the health care continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. Demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:

• The Staff RN will assist in documentation, providing supplies, prepping patient for surgery.

• The Staff RN oversees CST's and Surgery Tech's and provides and documents care consistent with hospital, departmental, and unit policies/procedures/protocols.

• The Staff RN collaborates with other members of the health team regarding patient care needs and responsibilities, and delegates, as appropriate.

Demonstrates application of all facets of the nursing process: Nursing Assessment, Care Planning, Discharge Planning, Care Coordination, Delegation, and Evaluation of effectiveness of care.
