Seeking a Fulltime Staff Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room Department at Bryn Mawr Hospital!

The Operating Room RN will scrub and circulate in the OR, integrating the practice of nursing through the implementation of the nursing process, in assessing and rendering physiological and psychological care for patients..

Patient population includes, but is not limited to: orthopedics, general, plastics, ENT, etc.

SCHEDULE:

Fulltime, 40hours/week

Day Shift (rotating start/end times: 7am-3:30pm or 11am-7:30pm)

On-call rotation required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

  • Current PA Registered Nurse / RN license

  • Diploma, Associate Degree, or BSN Degree. BSN Degree highly preferred

  • At least 1 year of recent Operating Room Nurse experience required

  • Current CPR is required on hire

  • CNOR Certification desired

  • Ability to communicate proficiently in English to perform job duties

The PA is a licensed medical provider who functions as part of a physician-led health care team that is multidimensional. The PA manages the patients along with the attending physician. S/he will autonomously order diagnostic and therapeutic measures that make sure the patient-care is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered. The PA will continually monitor and adjust the care of the patient. A major role of the PA is to be the patient advocate in the medical system. The PA will act as a liaison between the patient and all providers on the team. The PA will coordinate the care of the patient when multiple physicians and providers are involved in the care of the patient. The PA may provide other patient care through the execution of standing orders/protocols and/or routine patient care tasks which are delineated in the written agreement. Education: Bachelor of Science degree or more in a physical science required Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program. Experience: Two (2) years' experience as physician assistant or Board eligible graduate preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment Licensures & Certifications:.
