Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor's Degree: Preferred

EXPERIENCE TYPICALLY REQUIRED

One-year current intensive care experience required.

DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Registered Nurse

• State Licensure

• RN

Basic Life Support Certification

• HealthCare Provider

• BLS-HCP Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• ACLS

CCRN obtained within 18 months of hire

Courses/Training: Must take and successfully complete the Nat'l League of NSG Med Admin exam during probationary period

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Ability to make fine discrimination in sound

Ability to work with bodily fluids and substances

Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances

Handles emergency or crisis situations

Subject to varying and unpredictable situations

OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk)Assist with lifting, supporting, maneuvering, and adjusting the position of patients weighing over 200 pounds

Pay Range is $72.88 to $98.62 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
