Supporting the Peri-Procedural Float Pool specialty the designated Staff Nurse:

  • Prepares patients for surgery and procedures as well as, provides Phase I and II care for the ambulatory and surgical population. In addition, nurses rotate through the Pre-Procedure Evaluation Program and call pre-surgical and procedural patients.

  • Works collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Providing care for patients the Peri-Procedural Float Pool

  • Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

To qualify you must have:

  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

  • Experience: Nursing experience preferred.

  • Procedural and /or IV experience preferred.

  • Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.

  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract
