The Staff Nurse in the Dialysis Unit provides professional nursing care to all people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, and the institution's mission and goals.

The Dialysis Home Program Nurse Manager (RN) is key to leading the Home Dialysis Program to ensure every patient receives the safest care with the highest quality optimal outcomes. The RN Manager is responsible for overseeing the supervision of all nursing personnel. This is a new position for our Staten Island / Brooklyn region (three) home dialysis clinics. Responsibilities The following is a summary of what makes our team successful. Supervisory Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, and directing work; performance reviews; disciplinary actions; resolving problems in coordination with the Area Operations Director.
