SCHEDULE: Full Time 40 hour- day rotator, 7:00am-3:30pm, 9:30am-6pm, and on-call as needed on weekends, holidays

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Provides patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on national standards, and utilizing the nursing process.

  • Responsible and accountable for the delivery of skilled professional patient care that is delivered based on recognized national standards of practice, JDH policy and procedures the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Performs hemodynamic recording appropriate to procedure.

  • Circulates for all diagnostic and interventional procedures including neuro vascular and vascular performed in a hybrid suite.

  • Proficiently assists in a variety of invasive procedures, such as but not limited to, central line procedures, administration of blood/blood products, PICC insertion/removal, at Port-a-Cath access.

  • Monitors and cares for ICU/Telemetry patients while in Imaging Services.

  • Provides nursing care and conscious sedation support to patients for having interventional procedures, include hybrid OR procedures.

  • Assists in clinical education/orientation of unit staff to meet patient care needs on the unit.

  • Monitors quality of patient care and nursing practice of self; seeking professional growth and development.

  • Participates in unit based continuous improvement activities.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: - Knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing;

  • Knowledge of relevant health center policies and procedures

  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to establish priorities and manage effectively.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must possess and maintain or be eligible for a current RN license in the State of CT.

MINUMN REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least two (2) years of Critical Care (ED, ICU, PACU) nursing experience. Current BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Ability to work independently and perform the duties of the job listed.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN, or proven enrollment in a BSN program.

  • At least one (1) year of experience with procedural sedation (IR preferred), Interventional Radiology nurse experience also preferred.

MINIMUM full time equivalent salary: $63,838
