Description

The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

This is a registered nurse with an Illinois State License who provides nursing care to acute care patients while collaborating with the nursing care team and multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care. Nursing practices are guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing Practice and Code of Ethics.

The Staff Nurse provides leadership within the nursing care team to advance patient care and outcomes and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization. The incumbent uses past experiences and clinical knowledge to make judgments about appropriate care for patients. This role collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to create a comprehensive plan of care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associates degree

  • Nursing RN License

  • AHA BLS -Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree

Description The Health Unit Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities: * Performs unit-based reception, clerical, medical record and patient registration functions. * Is capable of setting priorities and handling emergency situations in a calm manner. * Is customer oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff and patients and their families. * Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other patient related departments. * Manages the overall unit workflow in concert with the charge RN and/or assistant manager. * Flexibility to float to multiple units. * Night shift - ability to walk to multiple units during the shift. Qualifications Required: * Minimum of 1 year's experience as a hospital unit secretary. * High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
