Summary:###### MONDAY-FRIDAY POSITION- Potential for Sign-On Bonus

Responsibilities:


1.# Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population. 2.# Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.# Able to interpret data about the patient#s status in order to identify each age specific needs and provide care that is needed. 3.# Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias and treats appropriately based upon ACLS protocol.# Ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patient and correctly interpret the results. 4.# Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical conditions.# Follows the five medications rights and reduces the potential for medication errors. 5.

Assesses and reassesses pain management techniques utilized using the WILDA scale.# Educates the patient and family regarding pain management, and documents the results of pain management. 6. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.# Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.# Functions as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other health care providers. 7.# Is professional at all times, maintains good working relationships with all departments and physicians, and staff members. Maintains a clean and neat appearance, wears nametag at all times.



8.# Formulates an individualized plan of care.# Develops an interdisciplinary education plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.



9.# Follows all policies within the hospital and department specific ones.# Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.



10.Attends and or reviews 75% of staff meetings, all mandatory in services, and all annual job requirements.# Remains current with new policies and informed about changes within the hospital. Qualifications/Requirements:

Valid RN License within the State of Ohio BLS / ACLS / PALS certification Annual Safety Test Fire Extinguisher Training Annual TB Physical Demands:# Essential functions that are occasionally required are standing, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, sitting, and writing.

Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.# Able to use computer, interact, read, speak, hear, see, stand, walk, and work under stressful conditions.# Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
