Staff Internal Auditor

Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Staff Internal Auditor to join our Finance team. This position is expected to report to our Denver, CO office.

Job Summary:

The Staff Internal Auditor participates primarily in planning and fieldwork execution for internal audits, executing SOX internal control testing, and special projects at the request of management such as advisory projects and ad-hoc analysis. Candidates with an appetite for learning, a deep sense of curiosity, and a strong work ethic will be successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits and SOX 404 testing.

• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.

• Clearly document findings and recommendations to be shared internally & externally.

• Develop knowledge about Envestnet's businesses, risks, and industry to perform audits and provide business partners value-added recommendations for process/risk management improvements.

• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.

• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities

• 1 - 2 years internal audit or accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of SOX testing methodologies, risk assessment practices, the COSO framework, PCAOB standards, and US GAAP

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)

• Experience with an Audit/GRC tool (e.g., Wdesk, Archer, AuditBoard, etc.)

• Knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Application Controls is a plus

• Data analytics experience is a significant plus

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000.
