Description
The Interior Designer/Space Planner will develop designs, specifications, and prepare construction documents for interior scopes of work of government, military, and commercial aviation facilities. This position creates, designs, and implements interior design and space planning strategies to be well integrated with architectural and engineering systems.+ Prepares designs, quantity calculations, designs, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for interiors of aviation and/or federal facilities.+ Responsible for compiling programming data and preparation of design plans and renderings.+ Responsible for furniture planning and reconfiguration.+ Researches interior design products and makes recommendations.+ Researches, develops, and selects color, finish, and materials.+ Responsible for recommending new ideas, concepts, and methods.+ Participates in construction administration activities through site visits and review of submittals.+ Responsible for maintaining conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes.+ All other duties as assigned.
