Your Team, Your Impact

As a Digital IC Design Engineer with Marvell, you'll be a member of Marvell's Custom Compute & Storage business unit that designs SoCs to provide cutting-edge solutions in AI/ML, Network processing, Compute, Automotive, and Baseband for our customers.

What You Can Expect

  • In this role, you'll help shape the micro-architecture of the chip working closely with the architecture team.

  • You'll write specifications for the relevant block, develop micro-architecture of the block, and implement the design using RTL coding techniques, Synthesis, place and route, and timing signoff.

  • Work with the Verification team on pre-silicon verification tasks such as reviewing the verification test plan, coverage analysis, and full-chip simulation plus debug.

  • Work with the physical design teams in aiding the implementation of the functional blocks.

  • Work with post silicon group to resolve any lab issues or customer issue

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Micro-architecture and SOC design for Custom/ASIC products focusing in any one/more areas: Machine Learning, Automotive, Embedded Processors, DSP, Graphics, Networking and/or general purpose microprocessors.

  • RTL design experience, Implementation, Synthesis, static-timing closure, gate-level simulations and block-level function verification.

  • Hands-on experience for all aspects of chip-development process with proficiency in front-end design tools and methodologies

  • Identifies and proposes innovative solutions to enhance the overall design.

  • Must have effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to interface internally and externally with all levels of the organization and to participate in problem solving and quality improvement activities.

  • Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Has an inherent sense of urgency and accountability.

  • Must demonstrate initiative and a bias for thoughtful action.

  • Grounded, detail-oriented, always backs up ideas with facts.

  • Must have the ability to define problems, issues and opportunities, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from various datasets.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Optional:

  • Experience in designing high speed (>1 GHz)/high-performance embedded processor SOC products is a plus

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, and UNIX shell, etc. is desirable. Design automation experience is a plus as well.

  • Experience with SystemVerilog, Formal Verification (Jasper, VC-Formal, Questa-Formal) is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience. Or Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

102,800 - 154,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
