Job Description:

Candidate will provide field applications support to customers based on Analog Devices' world-class power products and tools. Familiarity with additional technologies including mixed-signal analog, interface, sensors, and digital solutions is preferred. The role requires positioning the best technology solutions tailored to customer needs while growing Analog Devices market share. This position also involves working with sales, peers, business units and technology groups to identify key opportunities, and with BUs and customers to influence new-product definition. Candidate should have strong expertise in system power supply design and battery management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and disseminating customers' system needs verses wants

  • Proposing/architecting component level and system solutions to customers

  • Working closely with sales engineering and FAE colleagues to develop/maintain customer relationships

  • Providing training to customers on Analog Devices' solutions and products

  • Developing and proposing new products to product lines to fill customers' needs

  • Continually studying and understanding new product technology

  • Collaborate with sales team to develop and execute strategic planning for key customers

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key product line management, marketing, and applications

  • Conducting seminars on Analog Devices power products including demonstration of development and simulation tools

  • Attending regular training to develop expertise in ADI's component-level, system, and platform technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

  • 10 plus years experience in product, design and/or field applications engineering or equivalent

  • Diverse power circuit design experience at the board and system level

  • High current, multi-phase core power experience preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task many projects and set priorities

  • Capability to present to, and work with, all levels of management, sales, and engineering

  • Fluency with SPICE

  • Practical understanding of control theory

  • Experience with PMBus/I2C

  • Ability to coach/teach/help others with design and power simulation tool issues

  • Excellent hands-on lab and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to deliver convincing presentations

  • U.S. citizenship preferred

  • Domestic travel: 25% - 35%

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $142,830 to $196,391.

  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
