GHD is currently seeking entry to mid-level transportation engineering professionals for our Roseville, CA office.

We have a supportive office culture that encourages camaraderie and community involvement. As one of California's largest A/E/C firms, we collaborate across engineering and environmental disciplines on diverse projects. We also have excellent in-house resources such as marketing, graphics, finance and more. Ideally, we are seeking an entry level Civil Engineer or recent graduate from a Bachelors or Masters Degree. You will have excellent communication skills; enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and have the ability to apply your newly acquired skills while working with a diverse range of clients and projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar qualifications
EIT preferable
Proven experience across AutoCAD & Civil 3D preferred. Previous experience utilizing these skills in an internship or similar role will be highly regarded.
Strong team player, with the ability to work independently when required, cooperative in open sharing of information and knowledge with team
Good time management ability, ability to handle conflicting priorities and work in a fast paced environment
Attention to detail and ability to complete diverse assignments - Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Working with our Roseville team this position offers good variety of work in infrastructure and land development. Responsibilities of the role will include: * Assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of civil and environmental engineering projects relating to waste management, stormwater collection and treatment, environmental restoration and remediation, and other specialty projects. * Assisting with the preparation of design drawings, regulatory permit documents, and technical specifications specifically related to containment systems, stormwater and surface water, erosion and sediment control, and other construction related permits; * Assisting in preparing studies and other communications for civil and environmental engineering projects; * Performing field activities either individually or as part of a team that may include the collection of field data, instrumentation monitoring, observation of construction activities, logging and sampling of geotechnical and environmental boreholes, implementing health and safety procedures, and oversight of related subcontractor services and other field related activities; * Provide field monitoring and testing for construction projects; Other duties as assigned: The successful candidate will have a background in: Mandatory: * Candidates should have a BS in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline by January 2020; * The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and in groups; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; * Candidates must be willing to travel to projects within the US and internationally; * Candidate must be eligible to work in the US and possess a valid US driver's license. Preferred: * FE/EIT registration; * This is an entry level to staff level position.
