Design mechanical components, modules and systems in accordance with internal K&S system specifications, internal or external feedback, and other factors;
Aggregate, evaluate, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data relating to existing designs for mechanical systems and components (used within K&S' proprietary semiconductor manufacturing systems) in order to ensure reliability and efficiency, as well as to confirm that such systems are operating in accordance with intended specifications;
Provide expert guidance, support, and feedback during the prototyping phase of the research and development (R&D) process for new products and components, including the fabrication and build phases for these processes;
Create plans for product validation including developing testing plans and methodologies, conducting required testing using experimental setups, and reviewing qualitative and quantitative testing data to ensure that newly-developed systems are operating within expected specifications;
Develop and refine design documentation for use by K&S internal engineering teams during product development operations;sub-systems to be used within K&S' proprietary semiconductor manufacturing machinery;

Provide guidance and serve as an expert resource for K&S field engineers and other customer-facing staff members for matters related to our proprietary products.
Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Mechanical Systems Integration and Packaging of Semiconductor Assembly Equipment; DFMEA of complex mechanisms and systems; Cable Routing and Constraining; Thermal Management; and Machine vibration and audible noise attenuation.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and three (3) years of experience as Mechanical Systems Integration and Design Engineer or related occupation.
