To develop, coordinate and deliver the orientation, ongoing education, and professional development of DH Physician practice Associates.
Design, develop, implement, and conduct appropriate orientation and educational programs to improve Associates' professional skill, behavior, and customer service to meet the standards set by Doylestown Health.
Provide resources to DH Physician Associates regarding (but not limited to) communication skills and collaboration.
Assist with development of annual competencies to be tracked in Healthstream.
Education: RN or LPN
Experience: 5-10 years of healthcare experience, experience developing and implementing educational programs preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
Knowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers.
Knowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to patient information.
Knowledge of organizations policies and procedures
Exceptional written and verbal communication
EMR (eCW and Meditech preferred but not required)
Point of Care testing/laboratory procedures
Exercising sound judgment and remaining professional at all times
Ability to elicit appropriate information to properly direct patients.
Ability to calm, or defuse irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns develop solutions to problems.
Ability to multi-task and organize work for effective completion.
Ability to be punctual and available for daily assigned work.
Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
