Meet the team:

Dexcom's R&D Platform Team is currently seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer, Mobile Apps to join our team.

The DevOps team is responsible for defining and implementing a world class DevOps practice to enable the R&D Engineering organization to rapidly release new features and enhancements. The primary focus of this role will be partnering with the Mobile App SW teams to automate their build and deployment pipelines with a self-service mindset across multiple cloud regions globally.

This is a role that requires strong technical leadership guiding junior DevOps engineers and partnering with the overall organization to drive the implementation of best DevOps practices and define strategy.

Where you come in:

  • Lead and mentor junior to midlevel engineers

  • Help drive technical strategy for Native Mobile DevOps

  • Partner with product development leaders to prioritize initiatives

  • Participate and help drive team's planning sessions.

  • Design and implement automation and tooling solutions

  • Expertise in the SDLC process leveraging CICD best practices

  • Proven track record partnering with development teams to drive a DevOps culture across an organization.

  • Experience developing scalable build pipelines on Github Actions for services and mobile applications

  • Extensive Cloud experience (GCP or AWS)

  • Ability to write maintainable code using python, Go, or similar.

  • Ability to lead when appropriate and step back when necessary to help teams through triages, issues, and hard decisions

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles and processes

  • Expert understanding of (Android and/or iOS) Native Mobile development SDLC

  • Familiar with Github Actions

  • Cloud experience using GCP

  • Experience using Artifactory

  • Experience implementing security tooling

  • Experience implementing Cloud FinOps methodology

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master's degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

Remote Workplace:

  • Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
