THE POSITION

Bring your knowledge of training practices to the Ebensburg Center! By joining the management team and bolstering their training programs, you will help the center sustain a safe environment for the people who reside here. Our goal is to support people with intellectual disabilities as they develop and implement the skills needed to have an everyday life in the community. Take the next step in your career and help create and improve training programs for our staff.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be assisting with the overall training goals, plans, and requirements for the Ebensburg Center. As a member of the management team, you will be responsible for the development and evaluation of various training courses for the staff. This will include general orientation, refresher training, and new training. An additional duty will be creating databases to track the training activities and needs of the center. Being a management staff member will also include attending meetings and conferences as well as participating in assorted committees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • You may have to work overtime as needed.

  • You may have to travel as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience developing, teaching, or evaluating training or educational course work, and a bachelor's degree; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
