Staff Development Coordinator Job Summary:

Coordinating and conducting orientation of all new Facility hires and coordinating the educational needs of the Facility. Functions as an educator and facilitator for all nursing staff.

This position reports to the Director of Nursing and is an integral part of the management team. The Key to this role is the identification of staff learning needs followed by the implementation and evaluation of programs.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with current registered nurse license. BSN preferred.

Licenses/Certification: A Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in District of Columbia. Must maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment.

Experience: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask, work independently, and flex schedule as needed. A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
