The Staff Development Coordinator, RN is responsible to assess the training needs of nursing staff and to develop, implement, evaluate and document staff development programs including General Orientation, Job Specific Orientation, In-Service, and Continuing Education Programs for nursing department personnel.

Two years of teaching experience; Demonstrated ability and presentation experience in training of adults and group dynamics; One year of long-term care teaching experience and working knowledge of clinical nursing practices and the job functions of nursing home employees, preferred.

Educational Requirements

Licensed as RN in this state; BSN preferred Bachelor's Degree in Education, or Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

VIEW JOBS 10/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-18T00:00 Position: Staff Nurse/SNF (Wound Care/Treatment Nurse) Location: Rex Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm The essential duties and responsibilities of a Staff Nurse/SNF include: * Maintaining an environment of safety for patients, self and others * Demonstrating on a daily basis, competence with the use of patient care equipment and medication administration techniques and knowledge of rehabilitation procedures, equipment and program goals * Assessing the patient's condition, including biophysical, psychosocial and age specific needs * Documenting the patient's status according to unit specific procedures * Developing an individualized plan of care utilizing the nursing and medical diagnosis, collaborating with other health care team members in formulating this plan, implementing the nursing plan of care on assigned patients and evaluating the patient's status, nursing instructions, appropriateness of the nursing plan and outcomes of the care provided * Initiating a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient and as prescribed by the physician and/or policies, including patient and family instructions and discharge planning * Maintaining educational requirements as required by the Board of Nursing * Passing annual nursing competencies at 85% Other duties may be required. Candidate is required to have a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina (RN NC LIC).
