  • In the position of Wireless algorithm/DSP Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for design, implementation, optimization and testing of WiFi communication system/PHY algorithm with focus on DSP and firmware.

  • Typical responsibilities will involve research and development of communication signal processing algorithms including implementation and optimization of embedded C code, and integration and testing of the algorithm.

  • Candidate will participate in different phases of a project including architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, maintenance and customer support.

  • Candidate will work closely with algorithm team, hardware and software teams, as well as test team on task assignments, integration and field validation.

  • MS degree with course work in communication and signal processing with 2 years of related work experience.

  • Expected to have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: RF system design and analysis, advanced wireless communication techniques, OFDM system design, synchronization and equalization, cross layer optimization, network level optimization

  • Must be able to conduct system level testing and come up with test procedures

  • Must be able to conduct system simulation in Matlab and C and be able to take algorithms from Matlab to real life firmware implementation.

  • Requires knowledge of FW or DSP software implementation, fixed point operation and lab equipment

  • Good coordination and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tough goals under high pressure.

Products may include switching regulators, hot-swap eFuse, haft-bridge driver and power management ICs for fast growing markets such as networking, server, telecom, notebook/server core voltage, graphic card core regulator, point-of-load (PoL) and power modules. Essential Functions: * Works on product definition, circuit synthesis from the transistor/resistor level up to the system level, simulation, layout supervision. * Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release. * Assists ATE development with Design-For-Test methods. * Assists AE for evaluation and customer supports. Required skills: * Understand high power switching monolithic integrated circuit design techniques * Understand power conversion architectures such as buck, boost etc. * Understand analog and mixed signal circuits including amplifies, comparators, oscillator, references, LDO, POR, charge bumps, HV level shifts, drivers, current sensor etc. * Understand power converters control schemes as such voltage mode, current mode, constant-on-time (COT) etc. * Understand analog layout techniques. * Understand ESD, latch-up, and reliability. * Understand general IC qualification requirements. Qualifications: * BSEE / MSEE with 10+ years of Semiconductor and/or Analog/Power Integrated Circuit Design experience. * Good verbal and written skills.
