Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited program and clinical licensure in the State of Ohio before the start date; OR doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program and licensure as a psychologist within the first year of employment

  • Demonstrated sensitivity and commitment to multicultural issues/social justice and proven ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups

Desired Qualifications:

  • Independent licensure in Ohio

  • Experience working in a college counseling center

  • Demonstrated training and experience providing clinical, consultative, and programming services to students experiencing disordered eating and other related health conditions

  • Demonstrated training and experience providing clinical, consultative, and programming services to international students

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working in mental health counseling/therapy

  • Experience in crisis assessment/management/intervention, short-term treatment, and confidentiality requirements

  • Demonstrated skills in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage multiple clinical situations and to coordinate these efforts as a part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Energy to flexibly manage the professional demands of a challenging workload while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships

  • Collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect, and trust towards colleagues

  • Self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals, standards and ethics

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and work well in a team setting
