Staff Associate

Description:

Elk Grove Young Life is an active Young Life area with multiple ministries and lots of growth opportunities. Elk Grove school district is the largest in Northern California, serving more than 65,000 students. There are currently ministries in the area involving middle school, high school, and Capernaum with multiple full and part-time staff.

We are seeking a full-time Staff Associate to join our ministry team. We are looking for a strong leader to work alongside current staff members and our invested committee members, to continue developing our team of volunteer leaders, to engage with our community, and to actively reach kids in Elk Grove and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and supervisory level

• Support and develop volunteer team leaders

• Participate in the resource development of the area; meet with donors and engage in fundraising events

• Participate in dynamic direct ministry with kids

Qualifications:

• Spiritual maturity and a growing faith

• Ability to cultivate relationships with kids and adults including local church representatives, business owners and school employees

• Team building skills

• Leadership skills that allow for collaboration with board members, the community and volunteers.
