Responsibilities

WHAT DOES A STAFF ASSISTANT DO? A Staff Assistant serves as a staff advisor and liaison between management and appropriate support functions on all matters pertaining to administrative and management issues. They participate in planning and coordinating programs, projects, or processes which impact functional customers in the areas of recruitment, human resources technology, facilities, financial management and security.

As a Staff Assistant you will:

  • Manage internal administrative assignments.

  • Monitor activities to ensure timeliness, consistency and completeness.

  • Review responses, reports, and memoranda to develop consolidated responses on behalf of the organization.

  • Perform special studies and research projects or assignments, which require confidentiality and application of expertise and mature judgment.

  • Assess the need for and establish and/or adapt administrative procedures and practices to be used in highly unusual situations requiring deviation from standard administrative procedures.

  • Keep the supervisor advised of developments and progress concerning problems and follow up with the responsible official to expedite necessary action and final settlement of the issues.

  • Personally review all important incoming and outgoing correspondence, coordinating routing and the control of notes and suggestions concerning the subject matter involved before referral to the supervisor.

  • Advise manager on required personnel actions, performs delegated duties as assigned, supports and manages multiple administrative processes.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

GS-12 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: demonstrating knowledge and skill in acquiring, validating, and analyzing information, drawing conclusions, forecasting work, and developing alternatives; Knowledge of extensive operating programs and the interrelationships among them to perform program analysis; Skills to deal efficiently and effectively with top level executives, as well as taxpayers, to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence and cooperation; Skill in written and oral communications sufficient to prepare and present findings and recommendations, carry out specific action regarding controversial issues, and develop material for use in public speaking engagements.

  • The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

VIEW JOBS 9/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-12T00:00 Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem Signature Psychiatric Hospital Kansas, MO As a per diem, nonexempt, Staff Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Signature Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas City, you will provide support for clinical programs and practices at both hospital location in Kansas City and Liberty, MO, as well as fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. This position does not have regularly scheduled hours, and provides time off coverage when the Director is away including some on call shifts. About the Facility: Signature Psychiatric Hospital, has two locations, one in Kansas City and Liberty MO. Both are Joint Commission accredited and licensed for 36 beds, with an average daily census of 34 patients. This facility provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral, mental health services for adult and geriatric patients . The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has partnered with Signature Hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy; with all pharmacy staff being employed by CPS. Qualifications: * Pharmacy Degree - Bachelors or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy * Missouri Pharmacist licensure that is currently active and in good standing * At least 1 year of recent inpatient Pharmacist experience * Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns * Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff Benefits : All CPS Per Diem employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) program with an employer match and for the EAP (employee assistance program).
