The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

The Acquisition Experience team develops and manages critical platforms and services for new products being launched to support the next generation of customers across market segments. The successful staff engineer will be expected to help architect our platforms optimally with an enterprise mindset and intensify customer centric approach. The staff engineer will be expected to form a strong partnership within the team and across principal engineers and architects within the organization to foster collaboration and together working on a common goal to create a unified journey experiences across Digital Acquisitions.

Purpose of the Role:

To lead the development of next generation distributed platforms, aligning resources and delivery with business growth and diversification, while significantly improving product quality and cost-effectiveness. We expect the individual to be innovative and energetic with strong communications skills and a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive architecture with detailed technical designs for web-based applications which would involve modernization of monolith and legacy applications to micro frontends and microservices based architecture.

  • Cultivate an environment of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.

  • Collaborate and provide technical expertise to help engineers overcome complex problems and implement the architecture laid down

  • Actively participate in team and company-wide architecture and engineering discussions / forums

  • Engage in hands-on design and ensure alignment of strategy, architecture, tools/methods with software engineers and architects to execute product roadmaps.

  • Drive both high-level and detailed technical designs and lead design reviews.

  • Enable integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with technical project managers, architects, engineers, and quality assurance.

  • Establish best practices for software development and testing.

  • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software for use in local, networked, cloud-based or internet-related environments.

  • Oversee health and quality of code across the portfolio, including leadership functional testing and CI/CD tool integration.

  • Provide technical mentorship to other software engineers at all levels.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related experience with advanced degree preferred

  • 12+ years of experience managing agile software engineering teams designing and building software products in a fast paced, complex, and dynamic product development environment.

  • A Full-stack expert having expertise in building web applications revolving around technology stacks like Javascript, React JS, Node JS, Spring Boot, Spring, Kafka, Redis etc. Also, in-depth knowledge on Application design, testing capabilities, Design & building Microservices.

  • Extensive hands-on experience building distributed applications and managing the development of complex, large scale enterprise applications and products that require a deep understanding of application logic and dependencies.

  • Experience with high throughput and low latency needs applications.

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software.

  • Experience with Pega systems is a plus.

  • Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts.

Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
