The Job Responsibilities

At Draeger, our work is dedicated to protecting, supporting and saving lives. We are looking for a talented individual to join our patient monitoring team to help deliver new features and product enhancements that will improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of medical care around the world.

This position will be responsible for physiology measurement and algorithm design and development. Additional responsibilities are to support clinical engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers, quality engineers, and test personnel.

  • Develop and implement novel biomedical signal processing algorithms.

  • Develop, configure, document, and troubleshoot complex algorithms and programs.

  • Perform data analysis, algorithm validation and performance evaluation.

  • Provide algorithm-related customer support.

  • Present in scientific conferences and publishing in scientific journals.

  • Work within a team of Engineers and test personnel to prepare high quality deliverables during the design, implementation, integration, test and support phases of product development, including hardware and software.

  • Support test personnel with executions of verification tests and the repair of defects.

  • Estimate work effort and resources necessary to complete assignments.

Your Qualifications

Education: MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering required; PhD preferred

Related Experience:

  • 10 plus years previous experience with MS, 5 plus years previous experience for PhD

  • Expertise in digital signal processing and pattern recognition

  • Experience implementing signal processing and other biological data analysis using C/C++ and MATLAB

  • Ability to publish scientific papers and present in scientific conferences

  • Medical device background preferred

  • Machine learning experience preferred.

Special Competencies or Certifications: Competent in use of Microsoft office software
