Amyx is seeking to hire a Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) to support our SES-1 Director for Mission Support (MS) within the Operations and Integration (OI) Directorate, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). This position will be located primarily Reston, Virginia with the possibility of working 1-2 days a week at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.
The SACO's primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
Supported Technologies: Proficient using Defense Travel System (DTS), to include creating local and overseas travel and subsequent vouchers upon travel completion Strong computer skills including demonstrated fluency in all Microsoft programs, to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with SharePoint Experience with Adobe Pro Experience with Skype
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Possess a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Five years' experience as a Staff Action Control Officer, or a similar position, such as an Operations Officer, Action Officer, Office Manager, or a Senior Administrative Assistant One year experience using Defense Travel System (DTS) Familiarity with the Joint Travel Regulation Familiarity with the Foreign Clearance Guide Hands-on experience with internal and/or external tasking systems, such as Enterprise Information System (EIS) Familiarity with the DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Familiarity with the DTRA Mission (current or a former employee a plus) Previous experience as a Staff Action Control Officer, or a similar position Ability to work well with a diverse professional staff, take on special projects and work independently; can anticipate needs and plan accordingly.
Has the aptitude and agility to cope with frequent changes in priorities, as well as multiple interruptions throughout the day. Demonstrates the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information. Prior military or a government background in Operations or Information Technology is helpful, but not required.
