Staff Accountant

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Key Functions

Prepare monthly reconciliation of the general ledger accounts.

Prepare reconciliations for all assigned accounts accurately and timely (in accordance with GAAP and the accounting closing calendar).

Reconciliations should be properly formatted and provide detailed support in order to facilitate review by Accounting Supervisor.

Maintain general ledger(s).

Calculate,prepare and input, providing the necessary formatted support, journal entries into the accounting system, in an accurate and timely manner.

• Scan support and entries into scanning software.

• Coordinate with both internal and external sources, so that support needed will be received in a timely manner.

• Reviews all edit reports and the general ledger to insure accuracy and completeness.

Maintain the accounting records for fixed assets of all corporations.

• Enter additions, deletions and adjustments to fixed asset system.

• Record the monthly depreciation expense.

• Reconcile the fixed asset system, by category, with the general ledger monthly.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for assigned accounts.

• Prepares all assigned bank reconciliation accurately and timely.

• Prepare other balance sheet and income statement reconciliations as assigned,

including:

a. Inventory accounts (pharmacy, central supply, general inventory).

b. Corporate credit card activity.

c. Other accounts as assigned.

Prepare annual charitable organization forms and documents.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting.

License/Certification Preferred: Progress toward required Accounting Course Hours to meet CPA sitting exam requirements.

Experience Required: 1-3 years accounting experience. Strong knowledge of with Microsoft Office, including;

Excel, Word and Outlook. Preferred: Healthcare experience, not-for-profit experience, Great Plains and FRx.
