Staff Accountant

Staffmark is partnering with a local manufacturer in Fort Wayne, IN, to hire a Staff Accountant. If you have accounting experience and are looking to join a dynamic team, this part-time opportunity could be a great fit for you!

Pay: $17-$20 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift, Part-Time - 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (3 days a week, or flexible hours based on your availability)

As a Staff Accountant, you will assist the Financial Controller with various accounting activities, including data entry and analysis. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for collecting, entering, and analyzing data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as Sales, Scrap, Downtime, Inventory Management, Labor Analysis, and Cost of Poor Quality. Additionally, you will support accounts payable, receivable, and costing functions, manage a high volume of invoices for weekly check runs, and conduct financial analysis to support continuous improvement efforts. You may also assist with other tasks as assigned by the Controller or Executive Management Team.

Requirements:

• Intermediate accounting knowledge with strong ethical standards.
• Associate degree in Accounting or 15 credit hours in accounting courses.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills; experience with Plex software preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage changing demands.
