POSITION SUMMARY:# Perform various accounting functions including, but not limited to:# preparing and posting journals; compiling and developing monthly organization financial statements; preparing financial reports for presentation to the Board and Leadership Team; analyzing financial results and providing recommendations to improve operations; assist in preparation for annual financial audit, cost reports, and budget; complete monthly account reconciliations; and other duties as deemed appropriate.# Accuracy and timeliness of all work assignments is essential.# The position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with hospital Executives and department Directors. #EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required:

Bachelors Degree in Business/Accounting.# Proficient in the use of keyboard and basic computer applications.# Advanced proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.# Self starts tasks/projects without being directed.# Possesses a high level of accuracy in all work with attention to detail.# #Preferred:#Above plus previous education/experience in generally accepted accounting principles; accounting in a non-profit healthcare setting, with exceptional working knowledge of complex healthcare finance; principles of budget preparation in a non-profit healthcare setting; working knowledge of statistical methods for analysis, financial accounting systems and procedures, and of cost accounting methods gained through related experience; and or proven competence in the analysis, interpretation, explanation and presentation of data trends and comparisons. # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication during interaction with others.# Incumbent must demonstrate competence per the position#s Skills Checklist before being allowed to perform independently. #ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: #Supervises:###### None
