Our Position
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting for the organization's support departments. The Staff Accountant position is also responsible for addressing tight deadlines and performing a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Your Responsibilities
Prepares, examines and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Prepares various balance sheet account reconciliations and resolves reconciling items timely.
Develops, maintains and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
Payroll reconciliations between the payroll system, bank and general ledger.
Participate in internal controls compliance.
Assist with analyzing monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
Assists in the preparation of audit schedules.
Maintains the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules and insures proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
Assists with various quarterly and annual reporting.
Assists with the month-end accounting and budgets for support departments.
Analyze Treasury transactions including fleet vehicles and gas cards.
Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other related duties assigned.

Bachelor degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
1-3 years of accounting experience is required.
Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and accounting for multiple related entities required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup & Formulas) and Word.
Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus.
Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 20lbs.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
