Provides support for the accounting and finance teams by performing day to day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month-end closing activities, with the goal of producing accurate financial statements while adhering to appropriate internal controls and deadlines.
Prepares monthly recurring general ledger entries
Reconciles bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
Helps manage the Accounts Payable process by reviewing and processing invoices and scheduling payment runs
Serves as a SAP Concur system administrator by processing employee expense reimbursements and creating new profiles
Manages year-end 1099 reporting
Assists in tracking and completing Sarbanes-Oxley procedures to ensure company's compliance
Assist in month end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.
Assist in other accounting projects as needed
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., vlookups, pivots tables, etc.)
ERP experience preferred, Oracle Fusion experience a plus
Strong attention to detail is required
Ability to seek out, identify, and make process improvements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with outside vendors
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 1-3 years of accounting
Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience
Big 4 firm experience
