Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our St Louis office to prepare financial information, supporting schedules and other documentation.
Prepare journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Entries may include fixed assets and SG&A accruals.
Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close. Accounts may include fixed assets, prepaids, and SG&A accruals.
Perform financial statement analysis, including preparation of monthly reporting package schedules provided to management.
Work with Corporate department owners - such as IT, HR, Talent Acquisition and/or Facilities - communicating departments' actual spend and discussing future forecasted costs.
Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for the auditors. Audit relationships may include internal and external financial auditors.
Assist with the integration of acquisitions as it pertains to related areas.
Support experienced team members in areas that may include forecasting and acquisitions.
Cross-train with other team members.
Support other projects assigned by management.
Maintain compliance with SOX Controls.
2 years of experience required.
Critical level of attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.
Ability to multi-task, organize projects, and prioritize tasks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and accurately accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Experience in a Corporate Accounting environment
Experience in a public company and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
Experience with Oracle EBS
