Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our St Louis office to prepare financial information, supporting schedules and other documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Entries may include fixed assets and SG&A accruals.

  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close. Accounts may include fixed assets, prepaids, and SG&A accruals.

  • Perform financial statement analysis, including preparation of monthly reporting package schedules provided to management.

  • Work with Corporate department owners - such as IT, HR, Talent Acquisition and/or Facilities - communicating departments' actual spend and discussing future forecasted costs.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for the auditors. Audit relationships may include internal and external financial auditors.

  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions as it pertains to related areas.

  • Support experienced team members in areas that may include forecasting and acquisitions.

  • Cross-train with other team members.

  • Support other projects assigned by management.

  • Maintain compliance with SOX Controls.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Accounting Degree

  • 2 years of experience required.

  • Critical level of attention to detail.

  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, organize projects, and prioritize tasks.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and accurately accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a Corporate Accounting environment

  • Experience in a public company and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls

  • Experience with Oracle EBS
