About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team at Origin AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to the financial success of our growing high- tech company.

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.

  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.

  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Support external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits.

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a tech or startup environment.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, ADP, and QuickBooks preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.

  • Experience working with remote teams is a plus.
