Strategic Accounts of Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a long term temporary-to-fulltime role. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.   • Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision

  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

  • Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

  • Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

  • Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

  • Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Sage 50 experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

The Staff Program Manager has responsibility for leading product development projects from concept to post launch surveillance on time, within the agreed to scope and within budget for Thermo Fisher Scientific's Biosciences division. The Staff Program Manager uses best practice project management tools to lead cross functional teams focused on product and process development, manufacturing platform improvements, and /or capacity expansions while maintaining compliance with all appropriate processes, systems and procedures. What will you do? * Responsible for all aspects of product development from Concept, to Product Launch and completing with Project Closure. * Act as project champion and project "general manager"; manage team to execute all project deliverables; lead cross-functional core team. * Coordinate, synchronize and manage overall project schedule. Accountable for execution on project timelines. * Manage project budget; track actual versus plan and resolve issues as they arise. * Review team progress against requirements and plans; resolve deviations. * Assist Core Team Members in resolving extended team and functional issues How will you get here?
