JOB SUMMARY

• Perform various duties including but not limited to, payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Spectrum Viewpoint or other construction accounting software.

• One year experience in construction accounting.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.

• Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

• Positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers.

• Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills are essential.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform various duties including but not limited to, payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.

• Assist in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

• Prepare entries and related work papers.

• Assist with accounting closing processes.

• Perform daily reviews of accounts payable entries.

• Assist with performing full cycle payroll.

• Compare vendor/subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts to verify quantities, price, payment terms, freight charges, extensions, etc.

• Work vendor statements, handle sales tax issues.

• Complete vendor credit applications.

• Enter and verify purchase orders provided by operations.

• Assist in preparing and reviewing documents and processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Prepare various cost/statistical reports for management.

• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
