The major function of this position is:
To be a dedicated financial accounting resource in a number of different areas, including; month-end/year-end close, financial statement consolidation, expense analysis, reporting and budgeting, inventory, accruals and reserves, audit support, sales & use tax, international transactional taxes, corporate insurance program, price lists, and accounting for stock options. Responsibilities will include reconciliations of all accounts in these areas for all domestic and international entities.
1.Perform month-end closing duties for following areas, including posting of journal entries and preparation of reconciliations and lead sheets:
Inter-company reconciliation process
Commission expense entries and analyses
Inventory actual costing, Material Ledger closing process
2.Provide support to the Financial Accounting Manager with the monthly financial statement consolidation process and reporting package, including:
Income statement variance analyses
Financial Graphs & Charts
Head Count Report
3.Prepare and analyze various general ledger reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis, including accounting areas listed above as well as:
Equity related accounts
4.Provide support and backup with inventory relating accounting areas, including:
Perform inventory costing on all new materials across all plants
Assist with the annual full costing run on global inventory
Review Production Order variances and settlement processes
5.Work with the Accounting team to prepare for the US consolidated audit through work paper preparation, answering questions from external auditors and creating the audit report and related schedules.
6.Serve as liaison to International Operations Managers for statutory financial and tax filings, audits/financial reviews and quarterly reviews of DC Management Financials and results of operations.
7.Serve as a financial resource for Domestic Departmental Managers in reviewing and analyzing expenses and fielding questions.
8.Handle and coordinate insurance related items and work with Financial Accounting Manager on following:
Annual Renewals preparation of data, completing applications, etc.
Certificate of Insurance Requests
9.Oversee accounting for stock option exercises and sales, including stock based compensation expense, year-end reporting and any ad-hoc reporting.
Collection and preparation of sales tax audit support data
Assist with Sales & Use tax exemption certificate process and projects
Preparation of special events permits/sales tax returns
VAT compliance, reviews and related reconciliations
Complete various compliance related filings
Chart of accounts maintenance
Maintain Fx rates in SAP
Annual shareholder meeting proxies
Assist with annual budget process
Generate monthly departmental expense reports
Maintain global price lists and order forms
Other projects as requested

Bachelors: Accounting (Required)
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment., Ability to communicate in a variety of business settings and provide outstanding customer service, Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must display courtesy and tact in handling employees., Microsoft Office Suites, SAP FI/CO experience, Solid accounting knowledge combined with strong analytical skills, Strong attention to detail, Strong problem solving skills., Team-minded, sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure.
