ABOUT YOU:

In this role, you'll be involved in various aspects of accounting, from month-end close to internal and external reporting. YOU HAVE:

• Education. B.S. in Accounting is required.

• Experience. 1 to 3 years of related professional experience in accounting.

• Technical Skills. Strong systems aptitude with a particular focus on Excel spreadsheets.

• Problem-Solving. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to solve problems effectively.

• Team Player. Collaboration is key, so you should enjoy working with others and have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Multi-tasking. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial.

• Adaptability. You should be able to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

• Preferred. Prior experience with Oracle software, project accounting, and general ledger or financial reporting is a plus.

YOU WILL:

• Manage Project Accounting. Track and analyze commitments and expenditures related to events and other projects managed by the Events Management team. Prepare and post journal entries to record costs to the correct expense or balance sheet accounts.

• Prepare Reports. Create reports on project progress and communicate with the Events Management team to ensure accurate reporting and smooth coordination.

• Reconcile and Analyze. Perform analysis and reconciliation of events-related balance sheet accounts, including researching and resolving reconciling items like prepaid assets and accrued expenses.

• Handle Month-End Responsibilities. Perform various month-end close duties, including corporate expense allocations, manual journal entry input, and financial statement preparation and review.

• Engage in Special Assignments. Be ready to take on additional accounting functions as directed by the Sr. Finance Manager or Sr. Director of Finance. This can involve analyzing marketing collateral charges, managing sales rep recoveries, posting journal entries, and assisting with internal management reporting.

• Typical/expected % of overnight travel. 0% - 5%.

Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning, analysis and accounting with collaborative business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products and Professional Sports.
