The Accounting team plays a critical role in defining and driving strategic and financial improvements and processes across the company. As a Staff Accountant you will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager and be responsible for maintaining and improving the global procure to pay process for Vendor invoices, employee reimbursement, and departmental spend. In addition, you will assist with the monthly close, statutory audits, financial statement audits, and compliance filings. You will also gain some exposure with Revenue Accounting by assisting with generation of Customer Invoices and recognizing revenue paid via Stripe. This position will be extremely pivotal in the day to day accounting operations and supporting the scalability of a rapidly growing organization.

What you'll do

• Support the team in optimizing our global procure to pay process by owning Vendor Management, review expense placement for appropriateness, maintenance of employee reimbursement or departmental spend, and identifying areas of improvement

• As an instrumental member of the month-end close, you will help shape the final workflows necessary to close the books within a consolidated time frame.

• Perform reconciliations for financial statement accounts related to specific areas of responsibility

• Support our Revenue function by generating Customer invoices and recognizing revenue received from Stripe

• Assist with the implementation of accounting practices, policies, and procedures

• Contribute to successful international statutory and US GAAP audits and compliance filings by working with the Sr. Accounting Manager in related areas of responsibility

• Leverage various tools [i.e. Netsuite, ZIP, Navan] to execute tasks related to specific areas of responsibility

• Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions

• Perform special projects or other duties as requested

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience

• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment and efficient at time-management as well as stellar organizational skills

• Communicates effectively with the various business partners and ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partners

• Experience with international entities, including billing, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions

• Strong accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP & Microsoft Excel

• A plus, but not required: Netsuite, Procure to Pay Management experience

For US-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $105,000 + bonus, equity, and US benefits. The actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
