Staff Accountant II

Torden is seeking a Staff Accountant to work in our Tiverton, Rhode Island office. Reporting to the CFO, the Staff Accountant will provide mid-level administrative and financial support. The position works closely with other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties.

Responsibilities will include:

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors.

• Process weekly Accounts Payable check runs and monitor when invoices are due.

• Process and reconcile credit card payments and code them to proper accounts.

• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed.

• Process monthly bank reconciliations.

• Assist with financial statement reviews.

• Assist CFO with month-end closing process.

• Additional duties as assigned.

• Excellent software skills, especially with Microsoft Office.

• QuickBooks or UNANET experience preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
