Staff Accountant II

Job Summary:

Provides direct support to the Accounting Manager in all aspects of internal and external reporting and month end close, from preparing bank reconciliations to drafting financial statements. Provides audit support and works on special Accounting-related projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger

• Perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations

• Review A/P and PO account coding

• Backup to A/P

• Advance into full preparation of internal financial reports

• Manage accounting for and tracking of fixed assets

• Assist with annual financial audit

• Assist with project cost tracking

• Assist with accounting for international subsidiary

Skills/Abilities:

• Excel skills required: pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas

• Experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards and QuickBooks Online experience a plus

• Concise and thorough analytical skills

• Problem solve and identify process improvements

• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

• Great listener

• Dependable team player and self-motivator

• Ability to adapt to a fast work environment

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• 3+ years' work experience in general ledger accounting, prior experience in a manufacturing company a plus

• Standard month end close processes

• Audit procedures

• Bank reconciliations

• Fixed Assets

• GAAP
