Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Urbandale office:

Staff Accountant II

• This is a highly visible role working directly with senior leadership across the globe.

• This role will provide exposure to almost all aspects of the general ledger and accounting policies, allowing for rapid growth and learning.

• Within the first 60 days, this colleague should and will become a subject matter expect on the MMC global balance sheet reconciliation standard, a key financial accuracy, audit and SOX control.

We will count on you to:

• Work with various global teams to ensure compliance to global standards

• Partner with stakeholders across all lines of business to identify gaps and implement solutions in the process

• Serve as a subject matter expert as it pertains to the balance sheet reconciliation process

• Support with ad-hoc projects within Accounting Operations as needed

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Basic understanding of accounting policy

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency with MS Access

• Proven ability to manage various stakeholder relationships

• Balance sheet and account reconciliation knowledge and experience
