Staff Accountant II - IT Projects

Job Description:

The Staff Accountant II - IT Projects role focuses on IT specific projects and accounting needs, and serves as the accounting partner for the IT department. The role will also share in performing general accounting duties, including analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments.

• Serves as a resource for internal and external business partners for ad-hoc requests and spend reporting, with a focused partnership in our IT department.

• Posts vendor invoice batches for payment processing.

• Research issues with vendor invoices and vendor aging reports, including cost and quantity discrepancies, and makes necessary corrections.

• Completes various month-end close tasks including calculation and preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Prepares and analyzes accounting data by processing and interpreting accounts such as general ledgers and subledgers.

• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.

• Ensures all financial schedules and deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with a concentration in accounting required.

• 1-3 years accounting experience required.

• MS Office Suite experience, particularly Excel required.

• Workday experience is a plus.
