We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our accounting department. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include managing AR processes, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with close processes. You will also be assisting the Accounting team with adhoc information and audit requests as needed.

  • Prepare, post, and document financial transactions and journal entries in accordance with GAAP

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries (monthly, adjusting, and/or recurring) and related reconciliations for month-end and year-end closing

  • Generate bills and invoices specific to customer accounts while performing a detailed review of contracts to ensure correct pricing is applied, correct or update if needed

  • Assist in financial statement or sales tax audit preparation

  • Maintain the fixed assets register and related depreciation and reconciliations

  • Support new and ongoing projects


  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance

  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding client and company financial information

  • Independent thought leader with a strong work ethic and ability to manage workload

  • Work effectively in a team environment where some personnel are off-site

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral with all internal and external contacts

  • Proficient Excel abilities (Vlookups and Pivot Tables)


  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP solution


Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Qualifications: * 4-year degree in accounting or accounting related field * 1+ years of accounting related experience * Strong written and oral communication skills * Strong organizational skills * Ability to manage time effectively * Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively * Ability to handle a changing, startup environment * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices * Advanced Excel Skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, etc.) Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for answering accounting and process-related questions a firm may have. * Responsible for developing and maintaining a relationship with the firm as the primary point of contact. * Responsible for identifying any out of scope items (either by request or discovery). * Responsible for coordination of start dates among internal teams. * Responsible for writing any accounting procedures needed to ensure accurate financials in recurring. This is guided by scope and location and will include, but is not limited to: * Payroll Allocations * Revenue Allocations * Royalty Allocations * Responsible for the maintenance of the proper structure of internal systems. * Responsible for working with internal teams to ensure accounting is done properly and on time. * Communicating any issues or opportunities for improvement either in process, technology, or accounting to the Director. * Communicating to the customer, on a frequent basis, when information is needed for Integrations/Onboards, when financial institutions are down and we need their assistance, and when a client has a question that needs to be escalated.
