Responsible for providing general accounting and internal controls support, prepare journal entries and analysis; completion of the close and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are accurate.
Specifically, responsibilities will include:
Prepare and record journal entries in general ledger related to prepaid expenses, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions and other various accounts.
Assist with intercompany reconciliations and confirmations
Work closely with Treasury, Tax and international finance teams
Perform data balancing activities, reconciliation and analysis of related ledger accounts
Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end close process
Provide audit support for quarterly and year-end audits
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Basic knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general accounting process and internal control elements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
0 - 2 years of related professional experience
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger or HFM a plus
Experience in accounting and financial systems preferred
Experience in interfacing with business customers in defining general ledger, account and reporting requirements preferred
Experience in Account to Report process improvement and application systems implementation a plus
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrates the ability to think clearly about business problems, breaking down problems and presenting ideas for solutions while evaluating the pros and cons of each option
