Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all billing related activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness and revenue recognition supported by corporate policy, customer contract/purchase order terms and internal procedures

• Implement robust credit analysis and collection activities to continually improve Account Receivable portfolio performance. Work cross-functionally (including Gleason Sales Organization) as required to collect customer receivables on a timely basis.

• Manage and administer the financing activities associated with our international customers including down payment invoicing and collections, export and standby letters of credit (LC).

• Manage intercompany transactions to ensure monthly reconciliation in terms of sales, purchases, commissions etc.

• Perform daily cash application transactions including inbound and outbound cash movement.

• Commission preparation and administration on a monthly basis.

• Machine Cost Tracking and Analysis.

• Assist Controller with month end closing and financial reporting activities.

• Provide support across the organization in terms of process improvement, problem solving and prevention as well as analysis of cost center spending, order profitability, capital expenditures and cash flows.

Background and Skill

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Finance Required

• 3-5 years of increasing financial experience within manufacturing environments

• Minimum of 2 years of experience using an ERP business system - SAP preferred

• Minimum of 1 years exposure to lean manufacturing and/or ISO concepts

• Strong skills using Microsoft Office products - excel, PowerPoint, word
