You will be responsible for:
Organize and prepare journal entries, miscellaneous cash entries and reclassification entries for the review of the Accounting Manager
Assist with closing the ledgers each month and at year end, i.e. preparing and posting accruals and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Assists in researching questions from Department Directors/Managers relating to monthly responsibility reports. Reclassification entries made as necessary.
Assists the Accounting Manager to ensure that monthly regulatory, corporate and internal deadlines are achieved.
Assists with preparation, proofing, assembly and organization of monthly financial statements.
Reconcile assigned bank and investment accounts to the General Ledger
Responsible for monitoring Positive Pay daily
Assist Accounting Manager with preparation of schedules of documentation for auditors and income tax returns
Prepares monthly sales taxes returns
Assists with Due Diligence and other information requested from the Corporate Office
Assists in reconciliations to detail subsidiary ledger records and budget preparations
What will you need?
Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in Accounting required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Also requires experience with General Ledger, Payroll, and Accounts Payable.
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting required. Associates Degree in Business or Accounting and four years equivalent experience may substitute for Bachelor's Degree.
Additional knowledge in an accounting specialization such as Healthcare preferred.
