Fidelity Life and eFinancial are looking for someone to fullfill the positon of Entry-level Staff Accountant for our office located near Rosemont, IL. This position is responsible for month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and assisting in internal and external reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting, is comfortable with the major financial statements and is interested in being developed.

Perform month-end close activities, such as preparing and posting journal entries, trend analysis and ad-hoc tasks, as required.
Upload and reconcile data feeds from third parties into the ledger system. Work with third parties on issues identified as part of the process.
Maintain and update financial systems. This includes data uploads, user access changes, troubleshooting.
Perform data analysis and be able to draw conclusions as well as provide recommendations based on research performed.
Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related filings (GAAP and STAT basis).
Perform account reconciliations and data balancing in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls requirements.
Provide support to other members of accounting team as needed and participate in team meetings and projects.
Provide support with internal business reviews and quarterly/annual audits performed by internal and independent auditors.
Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a 3.5 GPA or above.
0-2 years of experience in accounting related role (prior internship experience a plus).
Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new concepts and procedures.
Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP, pivots, data analysis, etc.
Prefer CPA or CPA candidate that has passed at least 1 exam.
