Staff Accountant - Corporate Finance Team

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and participate in month-end close process

• Reconcile cash clearing accounts, including accounts payable and payroll activity

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and document variances

• Adhere to organizational procedures and policies

• Assist in the filing of Sales & Use and Property Tax Returns

• Partner with cash application and collections team for reconciliation inquires

• Respond to information requests and assist with internal audits

• Prepare and provide financial and analytical information as required

• Identify opportunities to improve month-end close process, cost cutting initiatives and expense trend analysis

• Assist with identifying how to apply open items in the Cash Clearing account

• Special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager or Controller

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting role

• Strong Skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

• High business ethics, team player, ambitious, smart, coachable, great communicator.

• Ideal candidate will have career focused goals, and the work ethic to make those goals a reality.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA preferred, but not required

• Proficiency in Workday preferred, but not required

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position: $53,500-$75,600. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
