Publicly traded REIT seeks a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, and other management reporting schedules as required
  • Perform analysis to verify accuracy to accounting records
  • Use judgment and professional skills in determining appropriate procedures for preparation of accounting records, transactions and reporting
  • Research and resolve problems pertaining to accounting records, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and policies
  • Apply policies and procedures and bring inconsistencies and problems to managements attention
  • Assist with financial audits
  • Assist in the documentation and review of accounting policies and procedures including suggested updates and improvement
  • Experience working in Yardi (preferred)

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not required

This position reports directly to the Director of Finance. <strong><em> Together we will change lives all over the world.</em></strong></p><p>Amare’s Senior Accountant is responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
